Critics, including tech journalist Kara Swisher, expressed concern over Musk’s collaborations with the U.S. government given his incendiary remarks. The White House spokesperson condemned any jokes about political violence and emphasized the need to condemn violence. Both Harris and Biden condemned the alleged assassination attempt on Trump, with Biden expressing relief that Trump was unharmed. Musk also responded to Donald Trump Jr.’s post on X, calling for an end to incitement of hatred and violence against Trump by the media and leading Democrats. Musk did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the incident.
