One woman was killed in a missile strike in Odesa, while other attacks resulted in injuries and deaths. Russian forces captured the town of Ukrainsk in eastern Ukraine, and ongoing shelling has caused further destruction.
On the political front, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US President Joe Biden, who promised continued support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.
