In addition to von der Leyen, Starmer also plans to meet with European Council President Charles Michel and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola to further discuss the future of UK-EU relations. Analysts suggest that while Starmer’s government is unlikely to embrace all of the EU’s proposals, they may be open to selective agreements that support economic growth.
