Olympians Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield recently announced their engagement on Instagram after dating for about two years. The pair shared a romantic video of Lyles proposing to Bromfield with a stunning ring, surrounded by loved ones. They met when Bromfield initiated contact in 2017, leading to a long-distance friendship that eventually blossomed into a relationship in 2022.
Both Lyles and Bromfield are accomplished athletes, with Lyles bringing home medals in the men’s 100-meter and 200-meter events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, while Bromfield competed in track and field events for Jamaica. Bromfield won a bronze medal in the 4×400 meter relay at the 2020 Tokyo Games. They have been supportive of each other’s careers, appearing on TV together and praising each other’s accomplishments.
The couple has been friends for eight years and celebrated various milestones in their relationship on social media. They have also appeared together in Netflix’s docuseries “Sprint” and in Bromfield’s Instagram series “Mic’d Up Junelle.” Bromfield has been open about the challenges of competing while dealing with the loss of family members, crediting therapy for helping her cope with the emotional toll of her losses.
Lyles and Bromfield’s engagement has been met with congratulations and support from friends, family, and fellow athletes. Their engagement marks a significant milestone in their relationship as they continue to support each other in their respective athletic careers and personal lives.
