Multiple people died when a private helicopter crashed into a radio tower in Houston on Sunday night, sparking a large fire. Police Chief J. Noe Diaz confirmed that four people were on board, including a child, and that there were multiple fatalities. The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene in the Second Ward neighborhood, where the crash occurred around 7:54 p.m. local time. The fire spread to nearby businesses before being contained. It appears that no one on the ground was injured. The helicopter, identified as a Robinson R44, had taken off from Ellington Field but its destination was not known. The identities of those on board have not been released. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will be conducting an investigation into the incident.
