Rapper Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, was arrested in Florida by U.S. Marshals on a murder for hire charge. This comes after five individuals associated with his hip hop group “Only the Family” were arrested in California for a murder that was allegedly done in retaliation for the death of another group member. The indictment states that the murder was carried out as revenge for a nightclub altercation that ended in the death of a high-ranking member of OTF. The indictment alleges that Lil Durk and the others traveled to Los Angeles to track and attempt to kill the individual involved in the nightclub altercation. However, during the attempted murder, they ended up killing an innocent passenger instead. The group allegedly used various means of interstate commerce to plan and carry out the murder. The five men are facing charges of conspiracy and using interstate facilities to commit murder for hire, possession of firearms, and criminal forfeiture. It is not clear if they have retained legal representation at this time.
