The Providence College volleyball team is heading on the road this weekend for two BIG EAST matches. They will first play against DePaul on Friday, October 25 in Chicago, and then face Xavier on Sunday, October 27 in Cincinnati. The Friars have a 7-12 record and are seeking their first conference win of the season.
Leading the Friars’ offense is Shaliyah Rhoden with 218 kills, while Kayla Grant has been strong at the net with 67 blocks and a .336 hitting percentage. Miller McDonald leads the team with 497 assists. DePaul comes into the weekend with a 13-7 record, led by graduate student Rachel Krasowski with 361 digs and graduate student Jill Pressly with 325 kills. Meanwhile, Xavier has a 6-12 record, with redshirt freshman Margo Kemp standing out with a .374 hitting percentage.
The Friars will be looking to bounce back from recent losses and secure their first BIG EAST win of the season. Following their road trip, Providence will return home to Alumni Hall to host UConn and Butler.
