Press Release: Fuzek-Rossoni Reunion Concert Supports Stone Soup Coffeehouse

PROVIDENCE, RI – Fans of folk-rock music are in for a treat as the beloved duo Fuzek-Rossoni celebrates their 35th anniversary with a special reunion concert on Saturday, November 30, at 7 p.m. The performance will take place at the Music Mansion, located at 88 Meeting St., and aims to benefit Stone Soup Coffeehouse, an organization dedicated to promoting quality folk music within the community.

John Fuzek and Mary Ann Rossoni, who burst onto the Rhode Island music scene in the late 1980s, are known for their harmonious blending of acoustic sounds and poignant lyrics. Throughout the 1990s, their music, which often tackled themes of love, social issues, and environmental concerns, garnered them accolades, including multiple awards from The Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll.

The one-night-only event will feature classic tracks that defined their career, offering fans a chance to relive the nostalgia of Fuzek-Rossoni’s early performances. They will be joined on stage by talented musicians Amy Bedard, who will contribute vocals and play the violin, and Ed McGuirl, who will provide vocals along with mandolin and guitar support.

Proceeds from this concert will directly support Stone Soup Coffeehouse’s ongoing mission, ensuring that similar folk music experiences continue to flourish in the community. This unique reunion promises to be a memorable evening, combining the rich history of Fuzek-Rossoni with a commitment to nurturing local music culture.
