Musician Nelly, known for hits like “Air Force Ones” and “Hot In Herre,” will not face charges after being arrested in a St. Louis casino in August. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office spokesperson Chris King stated that the facts of the case did not warrant charges. Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes II, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for no proof of insurance and allegedly found with four ecstasy pills according to a state police report. The police department in Maryland Heights arrested him for failure to appear on an old traffic charge after being transported by state police. Nelly’s lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, claimed that Nelly was not informed about the warrant and accused an officer of targeting him after he won money at the casino. Nelly, who was born in Texas but raised in St. Louis, was in the spotlight due to his arrest but now will not be facing any charges.
