Providence College’s men’s soccer team has earned a spot in the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship, marking their 12th appearance in the tournament. The team will host Bucknell in the First Round on November 21, 2024, at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, RI. Under the leadership of 13th-year Head Coach Craig Stewart, the Friars have had significant success in recent years, including a run to the College Cup Semifinal in 2014.
The team finished as runners-up in the BIG EAST Championship after an impressive performance in the tournament, with standout players like Israel Neto, Bruno Rosa, and Lukas Burns earning recognition for their contributions. Neto scored five goals in the last six games, including crucial game-winners in the tournament.
Providence has shown strength on both offense and defense, with a balanced attack and solid performances from goalkeeper Lukas Burns. The team has been successful when scoring multiple goals in a game and has excelled in the second half of matches.
Head Coach Craig Stewart, in his 13th season with the Friars, has built a strong program with multiple BIG EAST Championship appearances and NCAA Tournament berths.
