The holiday season is in full swing in Bellingham, with plenty of opportunities to shop locally and enjoy festive events. Fairhaven Winterfest kicks off on November 30, with Santa, food, and shopping opportunities. Children can drop off their letters to Santa at the Village Green, and Santa himself will be at the Village Inn every Saturday. There will also be carriage rides, Victorian Carolers, and a tree lighting ceremony.
Small Business Saturday on November 30 offers even more opportunities to shop locally in Bellingham. The Shop Small Holiday Makers Market Series will be held at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal, featuring 50 local vendors with crafts, clothing, jewelry, and food items for sale. The market will also be open on December 1, 21, and 22.
If downtown Bellingham is more your style, boutiques, galleries, and shops will be participating in Shop Small Saturday with unique gifts for sale. Boundary Bay Brewery will also host a Holiday Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For those looking for live music, The Shakedown will host Hillstomp on November 29. The duo’s rootsy blues-rock sound is sure to be a hit. Tickets are available at shakedownbellingham.com.
With so much to see and do in Bellingham this holiday season, now is the perfect time to shop local and enjoy all the festive events the city has to offer.
