A chilly and peaceful weekend

This weekend, the region will experience colder temperatures and sunny skies, with overnight lows in the upper teens and daytime highs in the upper 30s. However, a storm is expected to move in on Wednesday night, bringing light snow and snow showers that could make roads slippery. By Thursday, the snow may mix with or change to rain showers, before drying out in the afternoon. The rest of the week will see even colder air moving in, leading into the following weekend. This weather pattern is expected to feel more like winter, according to ABC6 Meteorologist Bill Gile. Alberta Clipper storms, which originate from Canada, are typically fast-moving systems that don’t produce a lot of precipitation. Despite the likelihood of slippery conditions, the storm is expected to clear out by Thursday afternoon, making way for a cold end to the week and weekend.
