The 2024 Newport Illuminated Boat Parade Shines Bright with Festive Boats and a Fishing Santa Claus, Delighting the Crowd

The 2024 Newport Illuminated Boat Parade lit up the harbor on Friday evening, drawing crowds to watch as boats decorated in holiday lights sailed along the parade route. Spectators lined the waterfront, rooftops, and balconies to catch a glimpse of the festive display, cheering as each boat passed by. From Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to giant snowmen and Santa Clauses, the boats were decked out in colorful lights and decorations. The Newport Yacht Club hosted the event, serving light fare and announcing awards for the best-decorated boats in various categories. Shanty Three, Vaccaro, Coastal Queen, and Cavu were among the winners, with the Tim Mills Team Spirit Award going to Northeast powerboat.
