Interact Club Plans Ambitious Schedule for Lifestyle Events

The Olive Branch High School Interact Club, a Rotary-sponsored service organization, has seen a significant increase in membership and participation under the leadership of sponsor Tiffany Harris. Since Harris took over last year, membership has grown from 125 members to 220, with active involvement in community service projects being a key focus. The club teaches leadership skills and emphasizes the importance of contributing to the community and respecting the rights of others.

Members of the Interact Club recently assisted the staff at Palmer Home for Children with an Easter egg hunt and will be teaming up with the Olive Branch Rotary Club for a spring cleanup at the home. The club also hosted an annual spring fashion show as a major annual fundraiser which raised $3,500 this year for senior scholarships.

Interact students, Christina Holmbelk and Stacy Katz, attended the Olive Branch Rotary Club Youth Leadership Conference last weekend, showcasing the dedication and excellence of the club members. The club is also involved in various community service projects such as a food drive, toy drive, clothes drive, and Adopt-A-Highway litter-free program.

Harris expressed her enthusiasm for the club, stating that it has been her favorite part of teaching as it allows her to form relationships with students outside of the classroom and see the positive impact they can make. With a commitment to serving others, the Olive Branch High School Interact Club continues to be a shining example of youth-led community service initiatives.
