The Providence College men’s and women’s track and field teams put on an impressive showing at the Alden Invitational at Brown University on December 7, 2024. Freshman Tom Breen led the men’s team, winning the 500 meters with a time of 1:05.19, while sophomore Tyler Bartlett and freshman Ryan LoCicero also delivered strong performances. The women’s team saw three runners earn second-place finishes, including Chloe Higgins who set a school record in the 300 meters with a time of 40.41. Other standout performances came from Shea Podbelski, Kiera Kelly, and Claire Kelly. The Friars are set to compete next at the UMass Amherst Flagship Invitational on January 12 in Boston, Massachusetts.
