Grace Efosa Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll


Graduate student guard Grace Efosa of the Providence Friars has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season. In a 2-0 week for the team, Efosa averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 1.0 steal. She shot an impressive 58% from the field in wins over Rhode Island and Brown. Her 12 made field goals against Brown are tied for the most by a BIG EAST player this season.

In a game against Rhode Island, Efosa contributed 18 points, six rebounds, and one assist in a narrow 48-45 victory. She sealed the game with a pair of free throws in the final seconds. In the overtime win against Brown, Efosa shined with a season-high 27 points, along with six rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

Currently leading the Friars in scoring with 16.8 points per game, Efosa has been a standout performer. She also contributes 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 steal per game, with impressive shooting percentages.

The team will next face Penn State on December 11 at Alumni Hall in Providence. Fans can purchase tickets to support Efosa and the Friars as they look to continue their success on the court.
