Tourism film project to capture Chepachet scenery on Tuesday

The town of Glocester granted permission for a film crew to film in Chepachet village for a tourism video by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation. The filming will showcase various winter locations for tourists. The crew will be capturing footage of buildings and people walking in the village. Despite some council members wishing the filming occurred during the holidays, the request was ultimately granted, with the council agreeing that any publicity for the town is beneficial. The filming is part of the “All That” campaign launched by the group last February, and the winter footage will be added to a seasonal update next year. The Village of Chepachet was chosen for its rich history and charming shops and restaurants. The campaign assets will be added to the VisitRhodeIsland.com website for the public to enjoy. The goal of the ads is to attract more visitors to the state.
