Comedian Alex Edelman is set to bring his comedic talents to Lil Rhody Laugh Riot, joining an already star-studded lineup including Kevin Hart, Leslie Jones, and Aziz Ansari. The four-day comedy festival will take over Providence from March 27-30 at locations such as the Veterans Memorial Auditorium and Providence Performing Arts Center.
In addition to the comedy performances, the inaugural Providence Culinary Collective will also take place the same weekend in various locations across the city. Presented by the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau, this food and wine festival aims to honor Providence’s culinary legacy while showcasing the city’s modern and inclusive brand.
Edelman, known for his award-winning solo shows and TV writing, has made appearances on popular shows like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and written for shows such as The Great Indoors. During the pandemic, he served as the head writer and executive producer of Saturday Night Seder, raising $3.5 million for the CDC Foundation. His comedy album “Until Now” was named one of the best comedy albums of 2020 by NPR.
