Hollidaysburg Wins U.S. Eastern Regional 10U Championship in Rhode Island

Hollidaysburg’s Little League Baseball 10U team emerged victorious in the East Region Invitational Tournament in Rhode Island on Saturday, clinching the overall championship with a 13-1 win over Rhode Island. Aiden Pavlik and CJ Burger led the pitching effort with an impressive performance, while Aiden Anderson, Blake Chamberlain, Ronan Diehl, and Zion Shubik contributed with multiple RBIs.

Altoona’s 14U team also had a successful weekend at the Babe Ruth 14U World Series in Texas, pitching a combined 11 no-hit innings in victories over Lake Ridge and Del Rio. The team showcased a strong pitching lineup, with Gavin Treon, Brody Dull, and Aspen Anderson leading the way.

In the Babe Ruth 16-18 World Series, Altoona’s 18U team split their games, defeating Australia with a strong offensive showing led by Nick Kraft and Gavin Bell. However, the team fell to Manassas, Virginia, despite impressive performances from Jay Albarano and Braxton Zitsch.

Overall, it was a successful weekend for Central Pennsylvania teams in various baseball tournaments, showcasing the talent and determination of young athletes from the local community. With strong pitching, solid batting performances, and exceptional teamwork, these teams have proven themselves as formidable competitors on the baseball diamond.
