Bristol man arrested for stabbing two women in domestic incident
Bristol police responded to a domestic disturbance at 89 Wood St. on Monday, where they found Eric Squires covered in blood in the hallway. Squires was unresponsive to police instructions, and two women were discovered with multiple stab wounds inside the apartment. Investigation revealed that Squires had “repeatedly” stabbed the victims during a domestic altercation. The women were taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
Squires was charged with two counts of felony domestic assault on persons over 60 resulting in serious bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a knife during a felony, and other charges. He had been on bail for a previous domestic assault case at the time of the incident. Squires was arraigned and ordered held at the ACI pending his next court appearance. The Bristol Police Department is urging anyone who may have information about the case to come forward.
