Arkona Technologies GmbH and manifold Technologies GmbH have announced their partnership with NEP Group, a leading provider of broadcast production services, to integrate their cutting-edge IP core infrastructure solutions into NEP’s global fleet of IP OB trucks and Andrews Hub. NEP Group, known for operating the largest fleet of mobile units worldwide, has selected arkona’s BLADE//runner AT300 platform to provide audio and video gatewaying, routing, and processing for its productions.
The BLADE//runner platform, powered by arkona’s AT300 FPGA programmable acceleration cards, offers a comprehensive suite of live broadcast production software and hardware tools, including audio/video routing, compression, and processing capabilities. With its user-friendly interface and automated setups, BLADE//runner enables NEP to handle complex multi-site productions with ease, ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality production standards.
In addition to BLADE//runner, NEP is incorporating manifold CLOUD, an ultra-low latency multiviewer, into its technology stack to further enhance its capabilities. The integration of these technologies will support NEP’s ambitious technology expansion plans and enable the company to deliver robust and versatile production solutions to its customers worldwide.
NEP Group is also upgrading its IP-enabled Andrews Hubs in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, with BLADE//runner and manifold CLOUD technologies. The Andrews Hubs represent the world’s largest interconnected remote production network, connecting 59 sporting venues via a high-bandwidth network. The installation of manifold CLOUD multiviewer, one of the world’s largest, will handle demanding live sports productions while offering scalability, resiliency, quick deployment, and unified control.
