Rhode Island Athletics, adidas and BSN SPORTS have announced a new five-year deal that will see the Portland-based company continue to be the official athletic footwear, apparel, and accessory brand for the Rams. BSN SPORTS, a division of Varsity Brands, is the nation’s largest distributor of sporting goods to the school and league markets. Through this partnership, they will outfit the University of Rhode Island College Athletic Program with premier Adidas products.
The Director of Athletics at Rhode Island, Thorr Bjorn, expressed excitement about continuing the partnership with adidas and BSN SPORTS, highlighting the commitment to excellence and innovation shared by all parties. The deal, facilitated by LEONA Marketing Group, extends the relationship that first began in 2009 into its third decade and includes a pair of two-year options.
As part of the agreement, adidas and BSN SPORTS will supply the Rams’ 19 teams with footwear, apparel, custom uniforms, accessories, and equipment through the 2029-30 season. The Sr. Vice President of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select Program, Bill Stote, believes that this partnership will add tremendous value and dedicated support to the University of Rhode Island Athletics program.
