The author missed the event due to a change in sleeping habits but found solace in nature and birdwatching activities with his son. The return of migratory birds and the emergence of native bees and flies signaled the start of the pollinator parade. Wood frogs and Spring peepers added their courtship songs to the mix, while Spotted salamanders deposited egg clusters in vernal pools. Despite encountering a raccoon on his night time excursion, the author found peace in observing nature and capturing the beauty of spring.
