The Rhode Island Rams secured an 11-7 victory over the Quinnipiac Bobcats in a midweek baseball matchup. The Rams took an early lead, scoring two runs in the second inning and breaking the game open with six runs in the fourth inning. Quinnipiac responded with three runs in the fifth inning, but Rhode Island continued to add to their lead, ultimately coming out on top. Several Bobcats players had strong offensive performances, with CJ Willis continuing his hot streak by recording two hits. Alex Irizarry and Sean McCulloch also contributed to the offense, with McCulloch extending his on-base streak to 29 games. The Bobcats will look to bounce back as they face the Merrimack Warriors in their upcoming weekend series. This will be the first time the two teams have faced off since Merrimack joined the MAAC. The win improves Rhode Island’s record to 19-13, while Quinnipiac falls to 16-14-1 on the season.
