Motorcyclists with a giving spirit are making a big impact at the 85th Sturgis Rally this year. The Sturgis Buffalo Chip charity rides will feature famous actors, musicians, and racing icons riding alongside participants to raise money for various causes. New rides like the Heroes Honor Ride on Aug. 3 will honor veterans and first responders who have gone above and beyond.
CEO Rod Woodruff expressed his excitement about the generosity of the celebrities and the impact on the community. The Heroes Honor Ride will kick off from Belle Fourche, SD, and end at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, with each rider’s registration benefiting a pre-selected honoree.
The Legends Ride will also feature special guests like Chris Kael from Five Finger Death Punch, actor Frankie Loyal, and builders Cory and Zach Ness. The event will also include an auction for a custom bike built by the Ness Motorcycles team, with proceeds going to South Dakota Special Olympics and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame.
The Biker Belles event, celebrating women in motorcycling, will feature special guests like Karen Davidson and Laura Klock. Riders can expect a full day of events culminating in a bike show and support for various charities.
The Rusty Wallace Ride, presented by Harley-Davidson, will feature a star-studded lineup of guests like Rusty Wallace and Chris McDonald. The ride will benefit the South Dakota Special Olympics and The NASCAR Foundation, with a scenic loop through the Black Hills.
