Cody A. Balmer, 38, has been charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated arson, burglary, terrorism, and other counts for allegedly starting a fire at Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home. The incident occurred when Balmer climbed the residence’s fence, broke a window with a hammer, and threw Molotov Cocktails inside to start the blaze. The fire erupted around 2 a.m. on Sunday while Gov. Shapiro and his family were inside the Harrisburg residence, but they were safely evacuated with no injuries. However, there was substantial damage to the home. Prosecutors are currently investigating the motive behind the attack. Governor Shapiro has not made a statement regarding the incident.
