After 17 years, justice is finally being sought for the family of Carl Seebeck, who was brutally murdered in a cold case from 2008. James Grilli, who is already serving a life sentence for another murder, pled not guilty to charges in Providence Superior Court for the murder of Seebeck. The 63-year-old victim was shot and killed during an attempted robbery while on his way to work in a parking garage in Providence. Seebeck’s family expressed relief and hope for closure after the emotional court hearing, saying it was the beginning stages of healing for them. Grilli maintains his innocence and claims he was falsely accused. He is expected to appear in court again in June for further proceedings. The family of the victim is grateful that justice is finally being served and that they can begin to find peace after so many years of waiting for answers.
