The Department of Revenue, which oversees the Lottery, confirmed the update in response to concerns that the old billboards could only display up to $999 million, despite recent Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots exceeding a billion dollars. These new billboards will now have the capability to accurately showcase these massive jackpot amounts. Rhode Island residents can now look forward to seeing more precise and up-to-date information on the Lottery’s jackpot billboards, ensuring they never miss out on the chance to win big.
