Students from four career and technical high schools in Rhode Island will be showcasing their culinary skills in the 2025 Rhode Island High School Seafood Cook-Off. The competition will feature dishes made with locally-sourced scup and will take place at the Warwick Area Career & Technical Center Tides Café.
Participating schools include Davies Career & Technical High School, East Providence High School Career & Technical Center, Warwick Area Career & Technical Center, and Westerly High School Career & Technology Pathways Program.
After the competition, the winning team will have the opportunity to have their dish featured at a Newport Restaurant Group restaurant as a special on the menu. This event provides students with a chance to showcase their talents and creativity in the culinary arts, as well as promoting the use of locally-sourced ingredients. Attendees can look forward to a delicious display of seafood dishes and support the next generation of culinary professionals in Rhode Island.
