Press Release: New Exhibit "THE EFFECTS OF SUNSHINE" Opens in Newport
Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design is excited to announce its upcoming group exhibition, "THE EFFECTS OF SUNSHINE," running from May 24 to June 14, 2025. The exhibit will kick off with an opening reception on Saturday, May 24, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the gallery located at 9A Bridge St, Newport, RI.
Featuring over twenty talented artists, this vibrant exhibition celebrates the arrival of summer through a diverse array of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and ceramics. Visitors can expect to see natural themes drawn from oceanic vistas, clear skies, lush fields, and blooming flowers, alongside abstract representations. The collection also whimsically incorporates summery objects like straw hats and tennis balls, and features unique three-dimensional pieces ranging from intricate oyster shell paintings to a striking supersized stoneware moon shell.
Gallery owner Jessica Hagen emphasizes that this exhibition aligns with the gallery’s mission of promoting creativity and independent thought, stating, "This is a beautiful and varied collection that creates an exceptional experience for the viewer." The gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with additional hours by appointment.
