Westerly, RI – The Washington Trust Co. has announced the formation of a new retail banking business development team, appointing three seasoned professionals: Marcus Charlemagne, Armen Janigian, and Peter Renden. The trio will collaborate with the bank’s retail branch network to deliver tailored, relationship-focused solutions for local businesses.

This initiative aims to identify new business opportunities and understand the specific financial needs of the community. Charlemagne, who joined Washington Trust in 2015, previously managed the North Providence branch, while Janigian brings over 40 years of banking experience since joining the bank in 2023. Renden, with more than 15 years of experience in local and regional banking, rounds out the team as it seeks to adapt to the evolving requirements of consumers and support community growth.
