Community Events Highlight Spring and Summer Activities

Providence, RI— The upcoming weeks are bustling with community activities in Rhode Island, celebrating local talent and promoting wellness. On May 31, the Open Table of Christ United Methodist Church will host a Spring Fashion Show from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at their Broad Street location, featuring lunch and door prizes for just $10.

June kicks off with multiple events, including the inaugural "Hike for Hope" by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on June 1, at Kent County YMCA Camp, aiming to raise awareness for mental health. Later that day, the Chamber Orchestra of Barrington will perform their season finale at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 3 p.m.

Volunteer Appreciation Night is set for June 5, celebrating 50 years of support for Warwick Schools, while the Warwick Symphony Orchestra will showcase talents from local institutions that evening. Free public performances by the orchestra continue throughout June, including a concert at Pawtuxet Park on June 7.
