D’Ellena, chairman of the Narragansett Republican Town Committee, filed a police complaint claiming Wegimont confronted him in a hallway, pushing him and yelling angrily. Wegimont, who has faced multiple DUI charges, declined to comment on the allegations through his attorney, labeling them as "false accusations." South Kingstown Police Chief Matthew Moynihan confirmed an investigation is underway.
