DXC Technology and Carnival Cruise Line have entered a multi-year agreement aimed at revolutionizing the cruise line’s technology infrastructure. This partnership is set to bolster Carnival’s guest experience across its global fleet, as well as enhance both portside and shoreside operations.
Sean Kenny, Chief Information Officer at Carnival, underscored the importance of technology in delivering memorable vacations, stating, “At Carnival, we’re committed to delivering memorable vacations for our guests, and technology plays a vital role in ensuring they have the best onboard experience.” He praised DXC for their technical expertise and commitment to delivering on Carnival’s long-term vision, declaring the partnership a strategic investment in technology that will improve operations across Carnival’s 29 ships worldwide.
Chris Drumgoole, President of Global Infrastructure Services at DXC Technology, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, noting, “This collaboration with Carnival Cruise Line represents a significant milestone for DXC as we continue to expand our footprint in the hospitality and travel sectors.” He elaborated on DXC’s objectives, focusing on delivering operational confidence while minimizing technology disruptions.
Through this alliance, DXC will manage Carnival’s core IT infrastructure, covering operational environments from shipboard systems to shoreside offices and port facilities. Utilizing an employee-centric delivery model, DXC aims to provide tailored tools and services that support both Carnival’s workforce needs and a consistent guest experience. Key services will include workplace support, IT service management, infrastructure operations, and security risk management.
This partnership not only aims to enhance Carnival’s operational efficiency and guest connectivity but also demonstrates DXC’s commitment to advancing technology solutions in the travel industry.
