The Providence College softball team dominated Butler University in a 10-0 victory in five innings on March 15. Seniors Emma Douma and Hanna Aldrich led the Friars with three RBI each, with Aldrich going 3-for-3 at the plate. Sophomore Alyssa Twomey pitched a complete game shutout with five strikeouts. The Friars opened the scoring early and added to their lead in the second and third innings, with seven Friars recording hits and Rachael Petrarca achieving her 100th career hit. The Friars outperformed Butler 13-2 in hits. The team will face Butler again on March 16 to complete the three-game series.
