A Frontier flight traveling from San Diego to Las Vegas made a hard landing at Harry Reid International Airport after the pilots detected smoke in the cockpit, resulting in flames coming from underneath the aircraft. The Clark County Fire Department responded immediately, and all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated using airstairs and bussed to the terminal with no reported injuries. The incident caused a ground stop at the airport until 7 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the emergency landing. Video posted on social media shows the plane rolling on the tarmac with flames and smoke visible near the wheels, with fire trucks approaching to extinguish the fire once the aircraft came to a stop. NBC News reporters Rebecca Cohen, Jay Blackman, and Joe Kottke covered the incident, with contributions from Anisha Banerjee.
