Iowa’s O’Grady, Stuelke Lead No. 22 Iowa to Victory in Cancun Challenge
In a thrilling match at the Cancun Challenge, No. 22 Iowa defeated Rhode Island 69-62, with Addison O’Grady scoring 18 points and Hannah Stuelke contributing 13. O’Grady’s impressive performance included shooting 8 of 9 from the field, helping Iowa achieve a 52% shooting accuracy. The team had to play without its leading scorer, Lucy Olsen, who suffered a knee injury in practice.
Under the leadership of Jan Jensen, who took over as head coach in 2024, Iowa is off to its best start in years, following a 7-0 winning streak. Kylie Feuerbach added 12 points to Iowa’s victory, while Rhode Island’s Harsimran Kaur put up a strong effort with 21 points. Ines Debroise also stood out with 12 points for the Rams.
