Harsimran “Honey” Kaur led Rhode Island with 21 points, matching her career-high, while Ines Debroise added 12 points. Sophia Vital contributed seven points and five assists off the bench. After a strong start and holding the lead at halftime, the Rams couldn’t maintain their momentum in the second half, allowing Iowa to take control of the game. Despite a late push in the fourth quarter, Rhode Island couldn’t overcome Iowa’s lead. The Rams now prepare to face Idaho State in a quick turnaround on Friday afternoon. This game marks the first-ever matchup between Rhode Island and Iowa.
