On the morning of July 20th, 2021, emergency crews responded to a house fire in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. The fire broke out in a residential home located on a quiet street in the town. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene and began working to extinguish the flames.
The fire created a large amount of smoke that could be seen billowing from the roof of the house. Nearby residents gathered outside to watch as firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze. Thankfully, all residents of the home were able to safely evacuate and no injuries were reported.
After several hours of battling the fire, crews were able to bring it under control and prevent it from spreading to neighboring homes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest it may have started in the kitchen.
Local authorities commended the quick response of the firefighters and emergency crews, as well as the cooperation of the community in evacuating the area. The Red Cross was also called to assist the displaced residents. The extent of the damage to the home is still being assessed, and the residents are receiving support as they work to recover from this traumatic event.
